We are saddened by the tragic news we received last weekend regarding the passing of our friend Adam Wood. Adam attended Grassroots for a number of years while attending university. His cheerful demeanour, wisdom, work ethic and straight up goofiness will be sorely missed in all of our lives. To celebrate his life, we are holding a Memorial Service on Tuesday, February 2nd (NOT tonight – as accidentally reported on CBC this morning). Please come out and join us in remembering Adam.
We also have a book of memories that we would like to send Adam’s family. This book will be available at church for the next few Sunday mornings, so please feel free to write a message or share some pictures in memory of Adam. Alternatively, you can email your stories and pictures to Claire at firstname.lastname@example.org, and she will paste them into the book. There are many pages, so there is lots of room for past or present Grassrooters, and friends from far and wide, to share their musings. Everyone is welcome to join in on the project so please don’t be shy to let others know, or to write something big or small!
Finally, if you haven’t had a chance to listen to the CBC interview remembering Adam done with Erin Beagle and our own Scott Wiebe, please do so. They did a great job sharing their perspective on the character of Adam and the legacy he has left behind.
