Carolyn was raised in Thunder Bay and left home to attend the University of Waterloo. Through the Navigators campus ministry, she was introduced to the story of God and was discipled through that ministry throughout her university years. This exciting time was filled with discipleship training schools, leadership development, overseas travel, small groups and individual mentorship.
After some post-graduate study in international development, linguistics and teaching, she got married to a longtime “friend” from Thunder Bay and together they became involved in church planting, youth ministry and various other ministry opportunities. Once children came along, Carolyn’s focus shifted to connecting with immigrant and refugee families, leading women’s groups in various community settings and in a local women’s prison.
Carolyn returned to Thunder Bay with her young family to attend the Great Commission School and to serve in Grassroots Church. She is passionate about coming alongside women on their life journeys and discovering how God wants to engage them in His story and make His love known to others through their lives.
