Originally from Minnesota, Gabriel came to Thunder Bay in the fall of 2003 to do an internship with the Great Commission school. During that time he met his wife, Jennifer, who also attended Grassroots Church, and they were married in 2006. As they settled into married life they felt the Lord leading them to raise their young family in Thunder Bay as a part of Grassroots Church.
Working full time as a tradesman and and having a very busy home life as a father of five, Gabe wanted to find ways to continue to grow as a husband, a father, and a follower of Christ. Gabe’s desire was to create an opportunity for men to get together regularly to pray for each other, to encourage one another, and to challenge each other to live out their faith at home and in the workplace. Over the past few years the men of Grassroots have been meeting for ‘Morning Mugs’ which is a monthly fellowship and breakfast, as well as meeting for devotions before work once or twice a month. Gabe’s desire is to continue to cultivate opportunities to connect with the men of Grassroots in meaningful ways.
