Moses II (Jewish Law): Torah
In this first of four sermons on the Jewish law, Pastor Keith continues his teaching on God introducing Himself to the Exodus generation. Focusing on the Jewish Torah, which was revealed to Moses by God on Mt. Sinai, this sermon introduces the many teachings that Jesus would have loved and embraced. These laws outline the way the Israelites were meant to worship, keep festival, eat food, perform rituals, navigate relationships, deal with money, conduct warfare, operate judicial courts, relate with the land, and establish leadership. God consistently asks the Exodus generation to choose to obey these laws in order to choose life. These divine instructions, which even Paul called 'holy', are summed up in the Ten Commandments. At the end of the day, we recognize that the Judaeo-Christian God is a law giver who desires from Christians a mature obedience to His ways.
