Moses III (Faith In God): The Waters Of Meribah
In the final sermon on the nature of faith and the Exodus Generation, Pastor Keith narrates Moses’s ultimate failure of faith. A dormant unbelief arises for Moses in a time of great stress. His sister has just died, the young people start to fall into their parent’s unbelief, and Moses the man of God lets out some paganism when he strikes a rock twice with his staff for the thirsty Israelites. Moses loses his role as leader of God’s people in the Promised Land. We see once again how important it is for God’s people to be free from selfishness and sin in order to join him in the great rescue mission: God’s rescue of the world from death.
