Bible Text: Luke 23:32-43 | Speaker: Keith Jagger | Series: The Rescue In the final of three messages on the story of the two robbers crucified with Jesus, Keith gives three practical steps to embracing Jesus: 1. Be willing to stand up for Jesus when he is slandered today, 2. Recognize his willingness to be humiliated in our stead, and 3. Recognize our own guilt and shame.  All of this, suggests Keith is only possible through one key trait: humility.

Bible Text: Luke 23:32-43 | Speaker: Keith Jagger | Series: The Rescue In the second of three messages on the story of the two robbers crucified with Jesus, Keith tells the story of the robber’s from God’s perspective. Keith shows that embracing Jesus means something very different in different storylines. In God’s storyline, the robbers are children to be rescued from the powers of sin and death. Embracing Jesus, then is embracing our rescue from the creator God who calls his people to join him in the mission of destroying death. The video shown during the message is attached.

Bible Text: Luke 23:32-43 | Speaker: Keith Jagger | Series: The Rescue In this first of three messages on the story of the two robbers crucified with Jesus, Keith launches his summer arc of messages about the identity of Grassroots Church. As Grassroots aims to help people engage in God's story, we find that the primary way to engage in God's story, modelled by the second thief, is to embrace Jesus. The first thief was broken and willing to thrash at Jesus. The second was broken but humbled. Keith challenges us with the questions: What kind of broken will we be? and Will we learn to embrace Jesus?
