Everyone is invited to take part in Grassroots Campus Life, joining staff and interns in daily prayer, connecting with creation by caring for the building and grounds, caring for those in need, eating together (especially on Thursdays), and enjoying the open spaces around church, including playing the musical instruments, praying in the prayer room or around the prayer trails, and resting and reading in the library and study.
In the fall of 2017, you are invited any time during open hours (M-Th, 10:00am-3:00pm):
Join in with staff at a daily prayer time (M-Th) from 9:30-10:30 am. We are reading a chapter a day of Corrie Ten Boom’s classic The Hiding Place and spending some time in prayer together.
Come and utilize the study anytime from 10:00am-3:00pm M-Th where you will be able to find hundreds of books and a quiet space to read, do homework, and maybe catch a nap.
Find some peace, while it is warm, on our prayer trails, get your hands dirty on some of the grounds or garden work needed. Or just take moment to enjoy nature as it visits the Grassroots property. Talk with the office staff to learn about what kind of experience you can have on the grounds of Grassroots.
Take some time to pray in our prayer room, located at the heart of the church. You will find some peace, space, and materials to help you meet with God and pray for whatever he places on your heart.
Every Thursday for lunch, all are welcome to drop in for a laid-back social visit with church staff and other Grassrooters. Bring your lunch and come on by. Children are welcome! Thursday lunch hour runs every week from September until the end of June.
