Life Together – Part 1: Being A Church Family
In this introduction sermon to his eleven-week series on Christian community, Keith introduces his main thread for the series: Christian community can suck the life out of you, but it doesn’t have to. It can actually offer you a profound sense of meaning in life. This series is a study of community in the book of Acts, and this sermon introduces the main habits and inspirations of the early Church. We find the earliest Christians ordering their lives around Jesus’s deep wisdom, giving their relationships a sense of depth, helping each other pray, putting large amounts of their personal finances in common, and sharing time together in sacred space. What resulted were glad and generous hearts, worship, and having the goodwill of all the people.
